Welcome to my website. This site is dedicated to promoting and furthering my passion for music and music education. I have spent my life as a music educator, teaching at every level of instruction from elementary school to adult education. My experiences in the classroom were extremely rewarding and have provided me with many fond memories. For much of my career, I served as the Coordinator of Music for the Baltimore County Public School System where I supervised the instrumental and vocal music programs in over 160 schools. This challenging assignment afforded me the privilege of working with nearly 330 dedicated music teachers in an extremely active and accomplished public school music program. For more than thirty years, I have visited various regions of the United States and Canada to participate in music festivals and to work with student musicians and their teachers. It has been my good fortune to conduct a number of outstanding honor bands that worked hard to achieve a high level of performance. My travels have also given me the opportunity to hear, evaluate, and clinic many fine bands and orchestras on both the middle and high school levels. In addition to these activities, I have also presented workshops and professional development sessions designed to inform and support instrumental music teachers at all levels of instruction.Now, I reside on Lake Murray in Prosperity, South Carolina and remain active in many aspects of music as a clinician, adjudicator, and a guest conductor.
